The leadership of the Jurisprudence

Summary and background

Shiite jurisprudence has always tried to comprehensively control the even minute elements of the lives of its followers by devising rules and regulations and calling them divine and the sets of laws as “divine laws.” These laws determine the limits of individual behaviors and actions. They were (and are) compiled in books written by “high-level clergy” (not unlike Cardinals in the Catholic Hierarchy).

The books’ contents are divided into two main categories: a. General Transcription and b. Devotions. Throughout the entire history of Shi’i jurisprudence, no chapter or jurisprudential interpretation has been devoted to political and governance issues except in very few cases. There has been no attempt by Shiite Imams (transcended from the Prophet) and then by the jurists/top clergies to formulate a political manifesto.
